Your mission:
The pre-press supervisor’s mission is to ensure that artwork both supplied by customers and internally created, meets print industry standards, is processed and imposed to meet the requirements for producing a job as indicated on that job’s production ticket.
Specific responsibilities & duties:
The pre-press supervisor’s duties and responsibilities include:
  • Reading and following instructions on production tickets
  • Pre-flighting and correcting artwork if needed
  • Producing both digital and hard copy proofs of artwork
  • Creating imposition templates and imposing artwork per job ticket specifications
  • Imaging plates for offset presses
  • Maintaining XMF server, backups, and one plate processor
  • Fingerprinting presses as needed
  • Ordering pre-press and wide format materials
  • Providing technical support to customers and training to others in the department as needed
  • Providing support for wide format and digital press operators as needed
  • Attending bi-weekly production meetings
Required qualifications/experience:
  • Ideally 3 to 5 years of pre-press experience in 40” offset print shops
  • At least 2 years of experience using FUJI XMF workflow software
  • Must be proficient in Adobe CC and in working on Mac computers.
  • Experience with Microsoft office is a plus.
  • Experience with finishing techniques such as foil stamping, embossing and die cutting a plus.

industry and that time is of the essence on most jobs. We also are not fans of micro-managing. You must have strong attention to detail, be a team player who is willing to do what is necessary to get the job done and be easy to work with.
Offered salary & other compensations:
This position is paid at an hourly rate of $22 - $25/ hour depending on experience.
