Salary & other compensations:
We offer $29.00 to $35.00 per hour, plus per diem for food of $63 per day and $133 for lodging allowance when traveling. Additionally, we offer:

Important:
This is a physically demanding role with up to 90% travel. Hours will vary depending on your travel schedule. Overtime/overnight expected as needed. Traveling in the USA and internationally.
You can be located anywhere in the USA as you will travel extensively.

Your Mission & duties as Field Service Technicians:
As a Field Service Technician, you will install and repair foam cutting machines on site, at the customer’s location. You will also ensure safe and optimal use of machines by training customers on machine and operating systems.
Field Service (for both positions):
Perform installation, service, maintenance and repairs for new and refurbished Bäumer machines at customer site
Train our customers on the machine and its operating systems
Recondition previously owned foam cutting machines for repurchase with the same level of functionality and capability as a new machine
Clean and inspect all parts to optimize operation and look of Bäumer machines

Mechatronic Specialty:
Install mechanical upgrades and perform mechanical repairs
Install control upgrades, electrical modifications, parts and hardware
Prepare worksites using lasers, triangulation, string and chalk to make parallel and perpendicular lines for precise positioning of machines prior to assembly
Assemble and align machines to original factory tolerance and according to customer specifications
Wire machine using meters, hand tools, and
Labeling devices to ensure accurate connections
Install/routinely perform diagnostic tests on mechanical and electrical systems

Electrical specialty:
Install electrical or electronic parts and hardware
Install control upgrades and electrical modifications
Wire machine using meters, hand tools, and labeling devices to ensure accurate connections
Optimize electrical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings
Install and routinely perform diagnostic tests on electrical systems
Inspect, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and breakdowns; perform repairs

Required experience and qualifications:
Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
2+ experience as a mechanical or electrical technician in related industry
Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint)
Intermediate skills with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management software (CRM) such as Business Central
Basic knowledge of the Metric System
Ability to follow written instructions, diagrams, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, ability to stand, sit, crouch, and kneel up to 8 hours a day
Ability to work in a variety of environments that may be loud, hot, or small with poor ventilation
