Tax Accountant’s location and schedule: Remote, Monday through Friday.
Your Mission as Tax Accountant:
As our in-house tax accountant, you will create strategic tax plans, prepare tax returns (business and individual), and coach small business owners on how to remain compliant, along with staying organized. This will include consulting on topics such as how to automate bookkeeping with software such as QuickBooks/Xero and how to run payroll.
Your primary mission is to deliver tax savings for our clients and help make their tax/accounting life easy to navigate.
Some of our Tax Accountant’s duties and responsibilities:
Communicate with current/prospective clients about tax planning and preparation
Tax Return Preparation: prepare business (Schedule C, S-Corp, C-Corp, Partnerships) and individual tax returns; present approved returns to clients, meet with clients and address their questions and concerns regarding tax forms and paperwork
Tax Planning & Advisory: work closely with clients to obtain personal information regarding potential deductions, educational grants, etc. Present Tax Plans to clients.
Financial Statements: review statements quarterly, analyze for business performance and provide consultative guidance to clients.
Manage Bookkeeping and/or consult clients on how to use QuickBooks
Research tax law publications for guidance on unusual situations
Proactively remaining aware of changes to tax law and new compliance standards
Provide summary reports to owners on performance and the status of existing clients.
Required experience and qualifications:
Licensed as a certified public accountant (CPA) or enrolled agent (EA)
2-3 years of successful experience doing tax planning/preparation for business
Knowledgeable in small business accounting such as bookkeeping and payroll
Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn tax planning/preparation software such as Corvee, Proseries, QuickBooks, Xero, etc...

Offered salary and other compensation:
Based on your experience and performance record, we offer a base salary of $65,000 to $102,000, including performance-based bonuses.
